Nurture: Welcome to the Nurture Link!  In our church the Nurturing Ministries focus upon the need of all persons to learn and grow in their faith, and to belong to a group that accepts you as a child of God.  Nurturing Ministries are ALL of the programs we do in our church for those who come to Whiteville UMC.  Look in this section for programs for children, youth and adults, as well as for families, men, and women. Look at some of our current projects and programs:

·        We believe children of all ages need a safe and fun place to play.  Our Board of Trustees is currently working on a design for a great new playground with separate space for toddlers, children and youth.  Our youngest need places to learn to climb and skip and run, while our 5-12 year olds need lots of room for growing bodies and emerging skills, and our youth need space for basketball, soccer, volleyball and all those sports so popular for them.  Our goal is to create new spaces that are age appropriate and even have a comfortable, shaded place for adults to gather outdoors for a visit as they watch the younger ones.  We want to make our new playground a great place to enjoy God’s great outdoors!

·        Our great Preschool Program is currently accepting registration for the 2008/09 School Year!

·        Confirmation Classes are taking place right now!  Our youth are going on field trips, having parties and learning what God has to do with the decisions we make in our lives.
